is an orchid compost specially developed for young plants and can be used for most orchid species and hybrids. Many of the terrestrial orchids and humus epiphytes can also be cultivated successfully in Orchi-Mix fein. It consists of pine bark in 5-15mm grain size, the chopped foam was substituted with bark of 10-15mm size to ensure good ventilation and a stable structure. Other additives such as perlite, pumice, vermiculite can be added, but it is not necessary. The compost is not fertilized and adjusted to a pH of 5.5.
This compost was tested and especially designed to fit the needs of seedlings and all orchids in the Pleurothallidinae section like Masdevallia, Dracula, Pleurothallis, Porroglossum and all related.
Orchi-Mix fine can be stored dry and in an open bag for several years, but it should be moistened again before repotting. After a long period of storage, the bark and moss need some time to absorb moisture again.
