Delivery possible from mid-June 2022, plants will arrive in early June.
The genus Acineta comprises 17 or 18 species. The plants grow mostly epiphytic, more rarely lithophytic. Their occurrence is restricted to the New World, from Mexico to Ecuador and Venezuela. They have large, ovate pseudobulbs and large, strongly structured leaves, from which a basal, pendulous, many-flowered inflorescence develops with cup-shaped, waxy, fragrant flowers, the lip of which is divided into two parts, an epichyle and a hypochyle, which is firmly attached to the columnar base. As these orchids produce pendulous inflorescences, they should be cultivated suspended, preferably in a net pot or epiphytic pot. The plants can also be kept mounted.
