cobbianum = W. Cobb, Esq., of Silverdale Lodge, Sydenham, 19th century.

Origin: Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia
Habitat:

epi- and lithophytic in warm, humid mountain forests, at altitudes of 200-1800m.

Notes:

Lycaste cobbiana has the narrowest pseudobulbs and leaves of this genus. The pale green, waxy and only slightly fragrant flowers are made very attractive by the strongly fringed, snow-white lip.
