Habitat: | Lycaste locusta is often found along railway embankments and on limestone rocks or as a (humus) epiphyte, with the pseudobulbs protected by leaves or grass, but the flowers and leaves are in full sun at 2000 to 3000 m altitude. |
Notes: | Large, waxy and apple-scented flowers, flower stems approx. 20cm long and upright. Lycaste locusta must be kept much drier in winter. |
