Notes: | Masdevallia ametroglossa was found by Alexander Hirtz on July 11, 2002. The locality Parroquia Zurmi is located in the Cordillera del Cóndor in the southeast of Ecuador. The main locality is at an altitude of 900 m, 6 km south of the cantonal capital of Guayzimi just 2 km west of the course of the river Río Nangaritza. The description of the plant was made in 2003 by Luer & Hirtz based on a plant that was in culture at Ecuagenera. |
