Habitat: | epiphytic on mossy branches, rarely terrestrial in altitudes of 200 to 300m. The locality was given in the original with Ecuador, but the real locality should be in the Valle de Cauca, Colombia, according to latest findings. |
Notes: | Masdevallia chimobensis has short inflorescence stems, which can bear a 2-3 flowers, opening up successively, up to 6cm in size. The leaves are leathery leaves, this species can tolerate higher temperatures without problems. |
