| Notes: | A new hybrid using the 3 most spectacular Phragmipedium. Phragmipedium besseae with its fiery red flowers, Phragmipedium kovachii with its palm-sized flowers and Phragmipedium caudatum, which with petals over 50cm long is one of the largest flowers in the plant kingdom. The first two Phragmis have always been very dominant in inheritance, but it is not uncommon for this dominance to be interrupted in the second generation. |
