Notes:	Peperomia maculosa is a herbaceous plant with large, thick-fleshed leaves. It gets its name (maculosus = spotted) from its spotted stems. The leaf veining is striking, and the contrasts are strongly dependent on the age of the leaf and the brightness at the site.
