These are the perfect pots for orchids that require drainage, humidity and aeration. They are made from clear plastic. The holes allows maximum light and air into roots The transparent pots encourage root growth in many species. The stage of development of the roots and the moisture content of the substrate can also be easily observed. Too much light and plenty of moisture can lead to algae growth in transparent pots. Better drying off or the use of planters can help here quickly. Transparent containers have a raised bottom to achieve good ventilation in the root area. This means that no water film can form under the bottom of the pot.
The top edge of the pot is usually bent outwards for reasons of stability. Container pots can therefore be hung up very well with plastic hangers.
The pot is much sturdier than other clear containers in our range and is offered by the manufacturer as a 16cm pot, our own measurement showed 15.4cm on the outside at the top, so the pot will fit most standard planters for 15cm pots.
