Etymology:	fimbriatus = with small hairs
Propagation:	seed
Origin:	Colombia, Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador
Habitat:	terrestrial in the shade under bushes or lithphytic on rocky soils in river gorges or on rotting tree stumps at altitudes from 1000 to 2800m.
Notes:	Long flowering period, waxy, large, green flowers with a light fragrance at dusk.
