Notes: | The first description of this species as Ida monopampensis was made by Oakeley in 2008, on his herbarsheet he shows the altitude of 2560m. He discovered the plants himself in Peru, Huanuco, Monopampa on Sept. 12th, 2004. Whether he considered the possibility that it could be a natural hybrid is not clear at the moment with the material available. Achila transferred the species in 2009 to the genus Sudamerlycaste, which he founded, but there is no information that he already treated it as a natural hybrid. Today Sudamerlycaste monopampensis is considered a natural hybrid with: Sudamerlycaste cinnabarina × Sudamerlycaste grandis as parents. |
