Origin: Colombia (Cordillera Oriental)
Habitat:

Cold-growing epiphytic species found at altitudes of 2000 to 3000 metres on the western slopes of the eastern Cordilleras.

Notes:

Odontoglossum crispum was one of the most sought-after orchids in the 19th and 20th centuries. The colour spectrum and variety filled more than 10 pages in the price list of SANDER 1917 with more than 1000 different colour varieties - today Odontoglossum crispum is almost impossible to get.
