Algal Lime Active for Soil and Foliage Liming
Algal Lime Active - microfine powder for soil and foliar Dr. Stähler Algal Lime Active consists of 100% natural fossil marine deposits of algae. It contains microfine calcium carbonate with a very high reactivity of more than 80%. It is immediately and easily convertible in the soil and forms a well-adherent, microfine coating during foliar liming.
Algal Lime Active stabilizes the soil pH, improves the availability of many nutrients in the soil and promotes favorable living conditions for beneficial soil microorganisms. In addition, the soil structure is improved by the formation of stable crumb structures. It is also ideal for compost production. Foliar liming provides new vitality for weakened plants such as boxwood.
Soil activation with Algenkalk-Aktiv can be carried out at any time of the year. Best times for flowers, lawns, vegetable beds, trees and shrubs are autumn, winter and spring. In our gardens, healthy growth of plants is not possible without lime. Annually, 1 m2 of garden soil consumes up to 70 g of lime, partly by absorption of the plants, partly by leaching.

Net mass: 1.75 kg

Raw materials: 100% chalk from natural deposits.

Application: Dr. Stähler Algenkalk-Aktiv can be spread evenly by hand on garden soils all year round. A subsequent incorporation into the soil is advantageous. The application of lime depends on the pH-value of the soil. A soil test (a soil tester from the specialized trade or testing institutes of the federal states) helps here. Lid content spread approx. 35 g. For regular lime application (maintenance lime application), the following amount should be applied: For light soil (sandy) once a year 50 g/m2, for heavy soil (loamy) once a year 80 g/m2.

For liming of acid soils (pH-value below 5.5): For light soil (sandy) once 100 g/m2, for heavy soil (loamy) once 250 g/m2.
For foliar liming: sprinkle on the leaves in spring.

Do not use on plants sensitive to lime such as bog plants. Store in a dry place. Recommendations of official advice take precedence.
