Product information "Anthurium regale 'Light'"
Name: Anthurium regale, Linden 1866
Synonyms:

unknown

Etymology:

regalis = royal, grand, magnificent

Propagation: divisions
Origin: Hylaea
Habitat:

Hyläa (Hylaea) was the name Alexander von Humboldt gave to the vast primeval forest area in the Amazon and Orinoco river basins. This includes Brazil, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia. Unfortunately there are no exact location data of this species.
Anthurium regale was found by Gustave Wallis in Peru on the banks of the Marañón, one of the two great headwaters of the Amazon.

Notes:

The epithet regale (belonging to a king) exists for this species undoubtedly rightly. The velvety leaves with the wonderful drawing need no further description, the foliage speaks for itself. From this species there are numerous, wonderful varieties, it is difficult to choose the nicest one, so it is best to collect them all.
Anthurium regale 'Light' is a light-coloured variety, with very delicate streaking, the leaves are noticeably thicker and have a thick cuticle.
