Habitat: | Anthurium timplowmanii is endemic to Peru, known only from the type locality in the Department of Huanuco, Province of Leoncio Prado, in Premontane wet forest (P-wf), at 650 to 900 m elevation. |
Notes: | Anthurium timplowmanii belongs to the small anthuriums, the leaf size of a fully grown plant is given as about 30cm long. With the beautiful parallel-veined stripes on the leaves, this species is very reminiscent of a mini form of Anthurium veitchii, except that the leaves of Anthurium plowmanii are very hard and highly glossy, and clearly darker green. |
