Habitat: | Anthuiurm nigrolaminum is distributed in southern Colombia (Putumayo), eastern Ecuador, and northeastern Peru in tropical moist forest and tropical wet forest life zones at elevations from 160-1250 m. |
Notes: | Anthurium nigrolaminum grows in a wide range of environmental and edaphic conditions, sometimes in the sun, sometimes in full shade, on sandy or red clay soils. It occurs in a variety of habitats, from the hilly terrain of upland forests, on fallow and disturbed land, along floodplains at the edge of streams and rivers. The leaves have a strong cuticle (waxy layer) and a leathery texture. |
