This new hybrid is a combination of the compact growing Anthurium forgetii with the impressive, much larger Anthurium magnificum. It inherits characteristics from both parents, but the every plant turns out to be unique. The typical round leaf of Anthurium forgetii remains in some plants, others are clearly notched like Anthurium magnificum. The strongly angular stem of the latter species, however, has been transferred to almost all offspring.
The difference of Anthurium magnificum x forgetii will be seen only in large plants. according to the experience available so far, the influence of the mother plant becomes stronger with increasing age.
