Propagation: division
Origin: Brasil
Habitat:

hemiepiphytic in tropical rainforest or mountain forest with a warm, humid coastal climate of Brazil.

Notes:

From a botanical point of view, the correct name of Philodendron 'Jose Buono' is Philodendron imbe var. ilsemanii. At some point, for commercial reasons, this species with the variegated leaves was traded only as Philodendron Jose Buono.
Like some other species of this genera, Philodendron imbe can heat up the spadix during flowering period to produce more scent. This does not only attract more insects, but also makes them much more active, thus increasing the level of fertilization.
