Notes:

Anthurium papillilaminum is an unusual species of the genus Anthurium because of its velvety and very dark leaves. It was already found in 1973 by Robert Dressler and Tom Croast, described in 1982 by Tom Croat. At the beginning of the 21st century the species was propagated in large quantities in Indonesia, as there is a very high demand for Araceae in the Asian region. Later seedlings from here reached the whole world, but were propagated further only very rarely.
