This terrestrial orchid is subject to a pronounced dormancy in winter. You can also in late autumn, when the plant has moved in, remove the tuber from the ground and overwinter cool, dry and dark. As soon as the days become much lighter in the spring, the tubers can be replanted in orchid substrate. Then keep moist (iron damp), sprouting will occur within 4-6 weeks under optimal conditions. Flowering can be expected from mid-August to early September, the flowers are about 3cm high, and last 3-5 weeks depending on weather conditions.
