Etymology:

harpophylla = with sickle-leaves

Propagation: seed
Origin: Brasil
Habitat:

epiphytic, found at altitudes of 500 to 900 metres in shady, moist habitats

Notes:

Very beautiful, compact Laelia that occupies a special position in the Laelia kingdom. In terms of flowers, it belongs to the "rupicolous Laelias" that grow light and dry, but Laelia harpophylla prefers it shady and moist. It differs from the other Laelia in its flowering and leaf shape. Due to the beautiful bright orange flowers, this species, which can also be kept on the fenter bench, is a highlight in every orchid collection.
