Notes: | Cattleya trianae is also known as Flor de Mayo (May flower) in Colombia. The extremely large (>20cm) flowers emit a fine, pleasant, slightly sweet fragrance. Cattleya trianae is very diverse in coloration, ranging from pure white to white with red lip, light pink to dark pinkish violet. Cattleya trianae became the Colombian national flower in November 1936: This offspring is characterised by very large, light-coloured flowers with a strongly pronounced lip. Very similar to Cattleya trianae var. semi-alba. |
