Notes:

This attractive species was described by G. S. Bunting in 1964 in honor of the Brazilian botanist Graziela Maciel Barrosos. Due to the conspicuous 3-lobed leaves it can easily be confused with Philodendron levelii, Philodendron huilense and Philodendron victoriae, the differences are only found in and during the flowering period.
Philodendron barrosoanum 'Giganteum' develops the side lobes, which are small compared to Philodendron barrosoanum, only on very old leaves. In the 3rd picture the left leaf shows the first tentative attempts to form a lateral lobe, the final 3-lobed leaf is shown next to it.
