Habitat: | epiphytic in the eastern Andes as a climbing, single-leaved epiphyte in moist mountain forests, high up on thick branches at elevations from 400 to 1220 meters above sea level. |
Notes: | Cattleya iricolor is a very rarely found Cattleya natural form, which is unifoliolate, but does not belong to the Cattleya labiata group. The flowers are 7-10cm in size, numerous (up to 10st.) and with a flowering period of 2-3 weeks of medium durability. During the rest period in winter, spray the species abundantly and let it dry quickly, do not water during this period. The open flowers are very colorful, in the lip you can find all the colors of the rainbow. |
