trilobus = with 3 lobes, refering to the lobes of the leaves

Origin: Panama to Ecuador
Habitat:

Pacific Andes, from sea level to 1400m, epiphytic, hemiepiphytic and terrestrial in tropical wet, premontane rain and heavy rain forest habitats.

Notes:

Anthurium trilobum from Panama often grows epiphytically and has gray foliage; the more southern forms from Colombia grow more moist, epiphytic, and are greener and softer in foliage.
The leaves change shape and colour depending on their age, which can be seen very well in the above picture of the plant.
