Habitat:

epiphytic, high in the canopy of wet montane forests at elevations of 800 to 1950 meters 

Notes:

Acineta superba should be cultivated in a hanging pot or basket, the inflorescence stems ebb sideways or directly downwards. The flowers are waxy and have a light vanilla scent. The flower stems are up to 60cm long, the colouring of the flower depends on the age of the flower, with increasing age they become more colour-intensive.
